 Constitutional Militia

Illinois Sons of Liberty is Illinois first state militia since 1992. Founded in 2006 we are active in all counties offering help with disaster relief, community training and a wide variety of community oriented projects. The Illinois Sons of Liberty (ILSL) is an unorganized militia. Clearly stated by our founding fathers "The militia is the whole people". The militia consists of every law abiding, able-bodied citizen in the United States of America except those who hold public office. The Illinois Sons of Liberty is a citizen based militia that functions solely within the legal framework of a state militia. We stand with law enforcement and our local governments. We offer an open door policy for any law enforcement agency to attend our meetings and or events. We will partner with law enforcement and other community organizations to help the general population in the event of a disaster. |

Our motto is "Friends, Family and Community" and we mean it! Everything we do is intended to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment. Freedom loving patriotic Americans make up the foundation and structure of the ILSL membership. If you are an American and you believe and support the Constitution of the United States of America as well as the Illinois State Constitution then we invite you to join the Illinois Sons of Liberty. ILSL members are regular people from all walks of life who are concerned about the current state of affairs within our Government, their total disregard to their oath of office and the sovereignty of the United States of America. ILSL stands for the following: • We support the 5 branches of the U.S. Armed Forces • We are a deterrent and defensive force for Illinois state • We are a first response mechanism for disasters weather natural or man-made • We are a legacy passed from our forefathers to us and from us to our posterity • We are an organization of by and for Illinois, the United States of America and the people whom they serveunder their respective constitutions. If you're concerned about the safety, security or future of the USA or the state of Illinois, if you believe there are serious threats to the American way of life, our freedoms and the US Constitution. In the event of martial law, civil unrest or many other declared emergencies whether manufactured or organic, the militia is the response to secure the safety and prosperity of the people because we are the people. In the event of a threat to America or our state, the Illinois Sons of Liberty will stand to protect our own communities from harm whether that threat is foreign or domestic. This would require the immediate attention of the People and the militia is that solution. |

The Media has negatively portrayed Militias and due to the current political climate we must hold our conduct to a higher standard. Behavior may be publicly scrutinized and the group on a whole may be judged by the actions of a few.
Illinois Sons of Liberty has no interest or intentions of any kind to disrupt or destroy the infrastructure of the United States. Nor is the ILSL planning, plotting or supporting any actions by any group or individuals against any utility companies, U.S. military installations or government agencies. The ILSL is committed to defending the freedoms and Rights of the People of the United States. ILSL is NOT nor will ever be any of the following: • a terrorist training network • a neo-Nazi, racist, or skin head organization • the National Guard or any other form of government agency • a private army subject to the dictates of any individual, corporation or other group • a launch pad of any religious agenda or political parties • a group of paranoid conspiracy theorists • a supporter or believer of the United Nations or any other form of any “One World Order” or Socialist government |

The following activities will not be tolerated and may be grounds for immediate removal from ILSL:
Engage in, plan, train, and support, condone or endorse: • Illegal activities • A violent overthrow of lawful government authority • Armed conflict with Law Enforcement officials in the lawful pursuit of their duties • Public or civil unrest • Discrimination based on race, sex, religion, ethnicity or disability |
 Purpose of the ILSL

• To offer a network of concerned like-minded people • Promote the safe, responsible and lawful use of firearms • Train and maintain a high level of readiness in support of our communities • Secure individual rights and liberties • Support and maintain a free state • Repel all enemies whether foreign or domestic, those who attempt to subvert our constitutions, violate the sovereignty of our country and/or state • Oppose all forms of Socialism, Fascism, Marxism, Communism and all governments, laws, policies officials and political organizations that support and promote them as these organizations are inopposition and conflict to the constitutions • Maintain a defensive posture • Prove to the opposition that the ILSL does not advocate the targeting of individuals, groups or the UNLAWFUL overthrow of the Republic |
The mission of the ILSL is to provide information, training, and basic organization to 'the People' to ensure a timely and effective response to community emergencies.
